This experiential workshop offers scientific research and meditative practices for those interested in awakening the mind and opening the heart. Drawing on current research in psychology and cognitive neuroscience, we will investigate the effects of mindfulness and compassion on enhancing health, wisdom and joy. We will also explore how to integrate mindfulness more fully into the body, bringing the teachings alive in our body through mindful movement practices. Our day together will include dydactic presentation, mediation and movement practices, and powerful methods for enhancing well-being, wisdom, compassion and joy. All are welcome to this workshop, no background in meditation or mindful movement is needed.
