Taking the eightfold path into the world: not causing harm with speech or action but rather bringing peace, harmony and joy into the world.
The engine of the Eightfold Path are the two factors, wise view and wise intention. As we develop wisdom is naturally expresses itself in actions and a life that is grounded in compassion.
For the first half of the guided meditation, there is investigation of impermanence of all experience, and the second half is the investigation of thought.
Beyond developing samadhi and mindfulness, we can turn our attention to developing liberating insight. While these are many insights that can come through meditation, the insight around anicca (change), dukkha (unsatisfactoriness) and anatta (non self) address our compulsion to crave and cling.
